**Where she comes from** Nobody knows. She wears a collar — plain, worn, no tag — so she is very obviously somebody's goat. Everyone in Welburg assumes somebody else knows whose. Nobody has ever checked, and it has now been going on long enough that asking would be embarrassing. **How she gets in** Nobody has ever seen her arrive. She is inside a warehouse that was barred. She is on a roof. She is in the guard post. She is three streets from where she was standing four minutes ago. There is no explanation and there is not going to be one. **What she wants** Your clothes. Specifically yours. Not your food, not anyone else's sleeve — yours, every time, and everyone has noticed. She takes her time about it. She does not steal and run. She arrives, selects a piece of you, and begins.
