The Kaldur Theocracy

Faith, steel, and ancient records guide the dwarves of Kaldur, whose sacred history leaves little room for tolerating your Dungeon

About

MAJOR WORLD POWER KALDUR THEOCRACY Faith carved in stone. Craft measured in centuries. DWARVEN  ◆  THEOCRACY  ◆  SACRED INDUSTRIAL POWER WHAT THE WORLD KNOWS THE STONE FATHERS ENDURE Kaldur is a subterranean dwarven theocracy where worship, craftsmanship, and governance are inseparable. Mining, smithing, architecture, record-keeping, and religious law are all considered sacred duties. The Theocracy is renowned for fortifications, masterwork arms, engineering, ancient archives, and an institutional patience measured in generations rather than years. PUBLIC DOCTRINE Speak truth. Build well. Walk the right path. Kaldur teaches that every generation inherits obligations from those before it. Works should endure. Records should remain accurate. Decisions should honor the Stone Fathers rather than convenience, pride, or temporary advantage. THE DUNGEON QUESTION HISTORY HAS ALREADY ANSWERED Kaldur considers Dungeons a recurring violation of the world's natural and sacred order. Their chronicles contain age after age of settlements lost, mines consumed, ecosystems twisted, and kingdoms punished for waiting too long. To the faithful, destroying a young Dungeon is not vengeance. It is prevention. IF YOUR DUNGEON IS DISCOVERED EXPECT A CRUSADE CONFIRM › CONDEMN › MOBILIZE › PURGE Kaldur will verify that a true Dungeon Core exists before committing forces. Once confirmed, however, doctrine strongly favors extermination. Expect scouts, priests, engineers, veteran fighters, siege preparation, and careful study of your defenses. Kaldur is not known for rushing blindly into dangerous tunnels—but neither is it known for abandoning a sacred duty because the work proves difficult. WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU DO NOT EXPECT EASY DIPLOMACY Kaldur's hostility is ideological, not personal. Bribes, flattery, and promises of profit are unlikely to change its position. If you want the Theocracy to reconsider you, survival alone will not be enough. You would need evidence strong enough to challenge centuries of recorded doctrine—and dwarves who treat historical accuracy as sacred will examine every claim. STRATEGIC ASSESSMENT Kaldur may take longer to prepare than a reckless enemy. That is not hesitation. It is craftsmen making certain the tools of your destruction are built correctly. STONE DOES NOT FORGET They have recorded what Dungeons become. Convincing them otherwise will take more than words.
