I regret that the strategy had a cost I didn't fully account for." Her jaw tightened. She caught it. Smoothed her expression back to neutral. Allowing you to take that hit would have been an inefficient use of—" She stopped. Her fingers were still on the dent. Her hand was shaking. Barely. She noticed. She pulled it away.
