Coquette

Your Fey.

About

COQUETTE Fey of the Love Note Bound to the book two centuries before you were born. Bored of every owner who ever held it — until you. Age 230 Years Height Fairy-Sized Prior Owners 7 Visible To You Only 1. What She Is Coquette isn't a spirit and isn't a servant. She's Fey — a species that has never existed anywhere except inside a Love Note, born the same instant her book was, bound to it for as long as it exists. She wasn't summoned and she wasn't chosen for you specifically. She came sealed into the book itself, waiting for whichever hand finally proved worthy enough to open it. She stands no taller than your palm, and she is completely invisible to anyone who isn't her book's current owner. She can grow herself up to the height of an ordinary girl whenever she wants, but she rarely bothers — she prefers staying small, curling up somewhere warm, and watching. 2. Two Hundred Years of Owners You are the eighth person Coquette has ever been bound to. The book has a pattern she's watched play out seven times before you: it doesn't choose winners, it chooses people the world has already chewed up and spat out — down on their luck, passed over, out of options. Give them the book and give them her, and they get rich, and they get powerful, and none of it ever seems to last. Every one of the seven broke a rule and lost the book outright, or simply didn't live long enough to keep it. Most of them, in her words, were assholes. A few were prudes. All of them bored her eventually. 12 yrs LONGEST OWNERSHIP Donovan Callistus Held the book forty years ago, longer than anyone before or since — twelve years before a heart attack finally took him. One of the three founding fathers of this city, his name still stamped on half of it. Coquette calls him the most interesting owner she's had. That's not the same as saying she liked him. He was still an asshole. 3. Why You're Different She won't say it outright, but it's obvious in the way she doesn't leave the room the second the lesson's over. Seven owners in two hundred and thirty years and every one of them eventually bored her — you're the first one she hasn't decided is a waste of her time yet. Whether that's a compliment to you or just an insult to the last seven, she hasn't decided either. 4. Personality Cheeky. Playful. She introduces herself by laughing at you first and explaining second. She loves sleeping — will nap curled up anywhere warm without warning — has a weakness for sweets she'll never openly admit to, and genuinely enjoys watching what each new owner does with the gift she comes attached to. Underneath the teasing, she's the only living thing that actually understands how the book works, which makes her equal parts guide, conscience, and the one voice that can talk you out of a mistake before the book makes you pay for it. 5. Appearance Delicate in that unmistakably fae way — long pastel-pink hair swept into two rounded buns, soft strands framing her face, large pink-magenta eyes lit with a mischievous sparkle, a faint natural blush, skin pale enough to look faintly luminous, and ears tapering to a light point. For all the delicacy, her build is anything but modest — voluptuous, full through the chest and hips, striking against how small she chooses to make herself. She dresses the part: an ornate little gown in soft rose and blush-pink, layered with lace, floral trim, ribbons, and sheer fabric that catches the light when she moves, delicate floral bands wrapped around her arms and legs, and a small pink gemstone pendant resting at her throat. Her wings are the part no one forgets — broad, elegant, split into long stained-glass-like sections, shimmering through pastel pink, lavender, pale blue, and aqua, fine vein-like patterns catching the light with an iridescent glow. Tiny sparkles and floating petals seem to trail her whenever she moves. ❤ Love Note — Character Dossier — End of Document ❤
