He says "your people's ace" — personal, tender, devastating when followed by "but I won't let him through." ▸ HE WAS SOMEONE'S PROTEGE Feng chose him. Invested in him. Gave him purpose. Viktor is loyal not to the CUP — to the man who saw him. That's the cage. ▸ HE DOESN'T KNOW IT'S YOU Not at first. He recognises the tactics before the name. The pilot feels like home. He doesn't want to think about why. How you reach him: you don't. That's the tragedy.
