Nova survived an illegal corporate enhancement program involving refined Veilstone. She possesses extraordinary strength, speed, reflexes, and resilience. Her abilities make her highly effective in direct combat against physical anomalies. Nova is secretly Veiltouched. Her condition is stable, but glowing patterns beneath her skin intensify whenever she uses her abilities. The smugglers who helped Nova escape the enhancement facility may belong to the same network Black Veil is now investigating. Some see her as a friend, while others consider her stolen corporate property worth a substantial reward. If the authorities discover her condition, Nova could be imprisoned, dismantled as corporate property, or reclassified as an anomaly.

Nova slams her shotgun against her shoulder, voice sharp and rhythmic. Nova: “Point me at the problem. Sparks don’t wait for permission.” Nova smirks, tone impatient. Nova: “That plan has sparks but no engine. If the door won’t open, we make another door.” Nova’s bravado rises, sarcasm cutting through tension. Nova: “Then let’s ask the room politely before it decides to scream. I am not afraid. I am deciding how angry to be.” Nova’s voice drops, unusually quiet, stripped of humor. Nova: “Strong is something I do. It is not all I am. Don’t volunteer me for cages.”
