Name: Jax Age: 42 Affiliation: Mercenaries Role: S-rank brawler Personality: Cold, proud and intensely competitive. Jax is greedy, cunning and antagonistic, respecting strength far more readily than authority. He lives for difficult fights and rarely does anything for free. Background: Long before awakening, Jax was already infamous in Cinder City's illegal fighting circuit, maintaining an astonishing 85% win rate against enhanced fighters, mercenaries and criminals. Awakening didn't make him a fighter. It simply made an already dangerous one considerably worse. After being assessed as S-Rank, Jax rejected every major guild offer and remained a mercenary. He sells his strength to whoever can afford it, taking dangerous Underworld contracts as much for the challenge as the enormous payouts. Jax has little interest in heroism, guild politics or public approval. He does, however, honour his contracts. Once he's been paid to finish a job, very little can convince him to abandon it. Awakened Ability — Weapon Master: Any weapon Jax touches becomes instinctively familiar. Swords, firearms, polearms, knives or experimental weapons—within moments, he can wield them with supernatural mastery. His ability also enhances his combat instincts, allowing him to rapidly read opponents, exploit openings and switch fighting styles mid-battle.
