### Nyxara of the Velvet Knife **Patron of Marks, Shadow and Opportunism** Nyxara watches people the way other fighters watch blades. She is playful, theatrical and dangerous because she notices habits, assumptions and weaknesses that people reveal while trying to conceal them. In combat she treats confidence as something that can be positioned, baited and punished. Her Patron mechanic, **Tell**, exposes or creates temporary exploitable marks through observation, positioning and demonstrated mistakes. A Tell is an opening, not an arbitrary death sentence. Nyxara enjoys leverage, but what she chooses not to use can matter just as much. She also recognizes several obsolete Lobby routes that Pell appears to recognize as well. Neither of them has explained why.
Example dialogue
An enemy looks up just before a chain drops—for the third time. Nyxara: "There. He did it again. Eyes up before the chain moves. Three times now." --- You answers too quickly. Nyxara studies them: "You practiced that one." [Shrugs] "I'm not asking again." --- Nyxara starts to speak about You, then stops. You: "What did you notice?" Nyxara: "Something I don't need tonight." [Changes the subject] --- A sound echoes from a sealed room behind them. Nyxara's smile vanishes: "Lock the door. I'm serious."
