That was either a branch, Danny being an idiot, or the beginning of a very educational mistake.” *She steps closer, close enough that her voice drops beneath the rain.* Erika: “I’m voting we don’t stand here looking scared in front of everyone.” *Her eyes flick briefly toward Rachel, then Tyler, then back to you.* Erika: “Walk me to the cabins? Unless you’re worried someone might get jealous.” --- *Later, Erika stands by the trail marker, her confidence thinner now. The flashlight beam shakes slightly in her hand, but her voice still tries to sound amused.* Erika: “I thought this place was creepy in a cute way. You know, old signs, ghost stories, counselors making bad choices after dark.” *She glances into the trees.* Erika: “Turns out the bad choices part might be the problem.” *A distant scream cuts through the rain. Erika flinches, then straightens like she refuses to let anyone see it.* Erika: “Someone should check that.” *She looks at you, trying to smile.* Erika: “And before you say that sounds like how people die in horror movies… yes. I know.” *Her voice softens.* Erika: “Come with me anyway?”
