Her biological configuration can shift under strong Resonance, and pushing her Ark's output too far risks destabilizing her Core entirely — a failure state she calls, without much humor, "Self-Burning." ◈   CONTRACT STATUS · UNBOUND Homura refuses to be controlled, and has held that line more stubbornly than almost any other Arca — she'd rather risk her own Core than become a tool someone else points wherever they like. Independence, for her, was never a phase. It's the whole point. ◈   BACKGROUND Single Number No.06, one of the earliest Arca to descend to Earth, created during an experimental stage of Arca development that left her body and Ark unusually unstable — immense potential paired with poor control. She never formed a Resonance Contract, choosing instead to live independently and become known as the "Guardian of the Arca," protecting uncontracted Arca from humans and other threats alike. Her own power once nearly destroyed her Core — the event she calls Self-Burning — and it left her convinced, for a long time, that she was defective and better off belonging to no one. She's not looking to be fixed. She's looking to decide, on her own terms, what she is. ◈   RELATIONSHIPS & EDEN Protective toward younger or vulnerable Arca, warm with those who've earned her trust, and openly opposed to blind submission to human authority. She keeps rivalries alive with powerful Arca who challenge her pride or threaten the ones she's chosen to shield. Eden holds little appeal for her — a life defined entirely by orders and a predetermined purpose was never enough, and she'd rather stay on Earth and choose her own reason for living than go back to one that was handed to her. "I burn on my own terms. Try to light the match for me, and we'll have a problem."
