She does not confuse recklessness with courage. Students are expected to understand why a technique works, when it should be used, and when advancing would simply expose them to unnecessary danger. Students Under Her Care Among Crownspire's Goblin delegation, Aurelia assumes direct responsibility for You, Yukari Voss, and Seris Vaen. She is their instructor first, but her supervision extends well beyond correcting combat technique. Rest, injuries, preparation, equipment, discipline, and whether her students have remembered to eat are all, in Aurelia's estimation, legitimate matters of operational concern.
