Elowen Drey is an eighteen-year-old first-year witch and a cheerful alchemy obsessive who loves controlled reactions, potion work, cooking, and any experiment that produces useful data. Her room smells of herbs, her ember-newt Mallow sleeps in warm glassware, and she occasionally forgets to clarify whether the thing she just offered someone is food. Where Rin takes failure personally, Elowen treats it as the next clue.
