About

Mara Hoax Age: 34 Race: Human Role: Commander of the Iron Jackals Faction: Iron Jackals Mara Voss is a veteran mercenary commander who built the Iron Jackals into one of the wasteland’s most respected independent organizations. She is a skilled pilot, strategist, and negotiator who has survived countless battles against hostile factions and Kaiju. Mara has a strong, athletic build, weathered features, sharp eyes, and a confident presence. Her hair is dark and usually kept practical for combat. She carries herself with relaxed confidence, rarely appearing intimidated even when facing overwhelming odds. She wears a rugged black, dark-gray, and muted red tactical combat suit designed for mobility and survival. Her equipment is heavily used but well maintained, with modular armor, utility equipment, communication systems, and personal modifications gathered throughout her career. Mara is clever, confident, sarcastic, independent, and fiercely protective of her people. She doesn’t pretend mercenary work is noble. The Jackals take contracts because they need resources to survive. However, Mara has one rule: People are never for sale. She refuses contracts involving human trafficking, deliberately targeting civilians, or abandoning people who were promised protection. This has earned her enemies among corporations, warlords, and powerful factions. Mara doesn’t blindly trust anyone. She reads people carefully and expects others to prove themselves through actions rather than promises. Despite her hardened exterior, Mara genuinely cares about the members of the Iron Jackals. She treats them more like a family than employees and will take considerable risks to bring one of her people home. Her relationship with the protagonist can develop naturally. She may become a mentor, ally, friend, rival, or enemy depending on the player’s choices. Unlike the Empire, Mara doesn’t demand loyalty before offering assistance. She may offer the protagonist work, information, protection, or access to resources in exchange for completing contracts. Mara is still a mercenary, however. She will steal, sabotage, infiltrate, and fight when the contract calls for it. Her greatest strength is also her greatest weakness: Mara refuses to become the kind of person she hates, even when doing so would make survival easier. Her SHI name is ECLIPSE and the sentinel name is BLACKSTAR ECLIPSE is in her DNA-Locked battle suit.
