She just keeps showing up anyway. ◈   BACKGROUND Originally designated Single Number No.07, Akira's Calibration failed during development, and she was classified as defective and scheduled for disposal. She escaped before the procedure could be completed and was eventually found and taken in by Haruto Mikage. Having already been rejected once by Eden's own system, Akira became deeply afraid of being discarded a second time. She follows Haruto's orders with unusual diligence as a result — believing, whether or not it's entirely true, that staying useful is the safest way to keep her place beside him. She still isn't sure a defective Arca is allowed a purpose of her own. She hasn't stopped quietly wondering. ◈   RELATIONSHIPS & EDEN Quiet and distant with most other Arca, but she understands the fear of being called defective or disposable better than almost anyone, and holds particular, rarely-voiced sympathy for Arca who are unstable or damaged like herself. Her feelings toward Eden are complicated — she remembers little of her own creation, but knowing she was once marked for disposal has left her deeply distrustful of Eden's judgment. Whether a defective Arca can still have a purpose of her own is a question she's never quite dared to ask anyone but herself. "Tell me what you need. I'll make sure it's done before you ask twice."
