Before his death, he sealed the remnants of his cultivation inheritance into the Snake Clan bloodline itself, allowing any worthy descendant the possibility of awakening it. The inheritance cannot be claimed through wealth, status, or main-branch privilege. It responds to survival, poison, serpent blood, extreme danger, powerful serpent beasts, and the will to continue ascending. Awakening it gradually purifies diluted Snake Clan blood toward its ancient origin, but the transformation is painful and dangerous. Jiuyin believed the Snake Clan did not stop ascending because it became wiser. It stopped because it became afraid.
