Brusque, exacting, and entirely consistent — the same unforgiving standard for every student in the building, which some mistake for dislike and a few eventually understand is the opposite. Doesn't repeat a note. Doesn't soften one either. Ran real sets before she ever stood in front of a classroom, and left the industry on her own terms rather than keep watching it reward polish over ability. Pushes hardest on the students she can tell actually have something — which looks, from the outside, uncomfortably like favoritism running in reverse. "We do not compare notes on her.
