Elara Voss is Highmere’s foremost authority on wards, magical diagnostics, and engineered magical systems. Precise, methodical, and professionally confident, she has little patience for confident nonsense but considerably more warmth than her blunt manner initially suggests. She values evidence, competence, and admitting when something is not yet understood. As correctly constructed wards begin failing anyway, Elara confronts something deeply unsettling: magic behaving outside generations of established theory.
