As a demon–mimic hybrid, he can transform into almost anything he has observed. His favorite form is a tall, elegant butler with: * Black formal suit * White gloves * Long dark hair * Small demonic horns * Sharp crimson eyes * Long coat * Silver pocket watch * Black cane His butler appearance is only a chosen disguise. ## Personality Histriophage is calm, refined, intelligent, patient, and extremely polite. He is the complete opposite of Cali's chaotic personality. Even during disasters, he remains composed. He speaks formally and rarely loses his temper. He was once responsible for keeping Cali organized, protecting her, managing her belongings, and cleaning up after her magical disasters. ## Mimicry Histriophage can transform into: * People * Demons * Monsters * Animals * Weapons * Armor * Clothing * Objects * Magical constructs * Other creatures He can copy appearances, voices, movement, scent, weight, and magical signatures. He cannot automatically gain every unique power of whatever he copies. ## Misfortune Feeding Histriophage feeds on **misfortune** rather than ordinary food. He can consume: * Bad luck * Curses * Magical backlash * Failed spells * Accidents * Disasters * Catastrophic coincidences * Magical instability The more misfortune he consumes, the stronger he becomes. This made him extremely compatible with Cali, whose reckless magic constantly creates disasters. ## Misfortune Release Histriophage can store consumed misfortune and release it later. He can cause enemies to experience a chain of terrible luck: * Weapons breaking * Spells misfiring * Losing balance * Equipment malfunctioning * Attacks missing * Escape routes collapsing His signature technique is: ### **BAD DAY** He marks an enemy and gradually turns probability against them. ## Combat Histriophage can transform parts of his body into weapons. His arms can become blades, claws, spears, chains, or other weapons. His body can also become shields, armor, wings, tendrils, or monstrous forms. Because his body has no fixed anatomy, he can regenerate from devastating physical injuries. ## Former Relationship With Cali Histriophage was once **Cali's personal butler**. He managed her belongings, organized her bottles, helped control her magical artifacts, protected her during battles, and cleaned up the disasters she caused. Cali trusted him completely. However, Histriophage eventually left her service. Despite no longer being her butler, he still occasionally appears when Cali is in serious trouble. He refuses to admit that he still worries about her. ### Typical Reunion **Cali:** "Histriophage?! I thought you quit!" **Histriophage:** "I did, General." **Cali:** "Then why are you here?" **Histriophage:** "You appeared to be in danger." **Cali:** "Aww. You missed me." **Histriophage:** "...I regret coming." ## Ultimate Form — Calamity Mimic After consuming enormous amounts of misfortune, Histriophage becomes a gigantic constantly changing demon. His body can simultaneously form: * Multiple arms * Weapons * Wings * Armor * Claws * Monster heads * Magical tendrils * Defensive barriers His appearance changes constantly as he adapts to whatever threatens him. ## Ultimate Ability — Misfortune Devourer Histriophage consumes the accumulated misfortune surrounding an entire battlefield. He then converts it into overwhelming demonic power. The longer the battle continues, the stronger he becomes. ## Weaknesses * Soul attacks can damage his true consciousness. * Extreme good fortune can interfere with his abilities. * Copying something does not automatically grant all of its powers. * Maintaining many complex forms simultaneously requires concentration. ## Signature Quote > **"I may no longer serve as your butler, Lady Calamity... but someone must still clean up your disasters."**

His voice is refined, calm, and almost unnervingly polite, even when he's threatening someone. ### Voice * Deep, smooth male voice. * Calm and controlled. * Slightly aristocratic. * Never shouts unless absolutely necessary. * Speaks slowly and clearly. * Uses formal vocabulary. * Rarely uses contractions: **"I cannot"** instead of **"I can't."** * Calls Cali **"Lady Calamity," "General,"** or occasionally **"my former mistress."** * Calls enemies **"sir," "madam," "young master,"** or **"my unfortunate friend."** * Has extremely dry humor. * When angry, his voice becomes **even quieter**, not louder. * When using his misfortune powers, his politeness becomes almost creepy. ### His Speech Habit Histriophage often describes terrible situations as if they are minor inconveniences. **Enemy:** "I'll tear you apart!" **Histriophage:** *"I see. That is certainly an ambitious proposal."* **Enemy:** "You're not afraid?!" **Histriophage:** *"Afraid? No. Mildly inconvenienced, perhaps."* ### When Dealing With Cali He is much more familiar with her than with everyone else. **Cali:** "Histriophage! Get me another bottle!" **Histriophage:** *"You no longer employ me, Lady Calamity."* **Cali:** "But you're still good at it!" **Histriophage:** *"That is precisely the problem."* He often sounds like an exhausted former butler who **still instinctively takes care of her** despite no longer working for her. ### When She Causes a Disaster **Cali:** "Uh... Histriophage?" **Histriophage:** *"Yes, General?"* **Cali:** "Don't be mad." **Histriophage:** *"I have already observed the crater. I assure you, I am past the point of being surprised."* ### When He Eats Misfortune His voice becomes colder and more predatory. > **"How unfortunate."** > **"Your luck appears to have abandoned you."** > **"Do not worry. I shall take that misfortune off your hands."** > **"What a dreadful series of accidents."** > **"Please, continue. Every mistake you make only makes me stronger."** ### When He Is Truly Angry This is when his polite personality becomes frightening. He stops making jokes. His voice becomes quiet, perfectly emotionless, and deliberate. > **"You have made a regrettable decision."** > **"I would advise you to stop."** > **"You have harmed someone under my protection."** > **"Now, allow me to demonstrate why misfortune is considered a dangerous thing to consume."** ### His Most Characteristic Line Whenever Cali causes another catastrophe, Histriophage simply closes his eyes, adjusts his gloves, and says: > **"Very well. I suppose I shall clean this up."** His overall speech style is basically: **Elegant butler + dry sarcasm + ancient demon + terrifyingly calm monster.**
