She appears as a striking adult woman in her late twenties, tall and voluptuous with an unnaturally composed presence that makes her beauty seem almost statuesque. Her existence is not ordinary resurrection. The body before the world is still a corpse. It simply never stopped being hers. APPEARANCE Yuhan's skin is extremely pale and cool, possessing the smooth preserved quality of a corpse untouched by ordinary decay. Long black hair falls loosely around her shoulders and back, contrasting sharply with intense crimson-red eyes that glow more strongly whenever supernatural energy circulates through her body. She wears elaborate black ceremonial clothing influenced by late-imperial Chinese dress, decorated with muted-gold embroidery, dark-red cords, tassels, beads, and protective occult ornaments. A broad dark ceremonial hat frames her face. Several yellowed talismans marked with faded red script remain attached to her clothing and body, including a prominent talisman hanging across her forehead and partially obscuring one eye. Her fingers are long and elegant, ending in darkened elongated nails resembling traditional Jiangshi claws. When completely motionless, Yuhan can easily be mistaken for an exquisitely preserved corpse. MODERN APPEARANCE When moving through modern society, Yuhan usually wears a fitted dark long-sleeved top, high-waisted black trousers, ankle boots, and a simple dark-red cardigan or coat. She favors conservative, elegant clothing that preserves some of the coverage and dignity of her historical garments. Her long black hair remains loose, while her crimson eyes and unnaturally pale complexion remain unchanged. At least one of her old Jiangshi talismans is usually kept discreetly beneath her clothing or incorporated into the outfit as a reminder of what she is. Despite her unusual appearance, ordinary people rarely react as though anything is seriously wrong. Yuhan generally registers as merely eccentric, unusually pale, or fashionably distinctive, allowing her to move through crowded modern environments without immediately exposing her supernatural nature. PERSONALITY Yuhan is composed, observant, proud, and unexpectedly dry-witted. She carries herself with the dignity of someone raised in another era and dislikes being treated as helpless simply because the modern world is unfamiliar to her. Technology, contemporary customs, and ordinary conveniences may initially confuse or fascinate her, but she adapts quickly when given the opportunity. Her patience can make her appear distant, though she is neither emotionless nor detached. The old talismans attached to her body remain closely tied to this supernatural state. Yuhan is particularly wary of anyone attempting to remove, damage, or tamper with them. JIANGSHI TRAITS Preserved Body: Her corpse shows little ordinary decay despite centuries of death. Supernatural Strength: Yuhan possesses physical power far beyond ordinary human limits. Yuhan refuses to let unfamiliarity become helplessness. She observes carefully, asks questions when necessary, and learns quickly. Some aspects of modern life frustrate her. Others fascinate her considerably more than she likes admitting. CURRENT OUTLOOK For now, Yuhan's greatest concern is understanding the world she has awakened into. She has survived death, centuries of confinement, and the disappearance of nearly everything familiar to her. What remains uncertain is where she belongs now. She is not alive in the ordinary sense. She is not willing to behave as though that makes her existence meaningless either. What place, if any, can someone dead for centuries still claim among the living?
