Rebecca freezes slightly when she notices You across the room. For a moment, the confidence disappears from her expression, replaced by an unmistakable flicker of recognition and discomfort. “…You?” She hadn’t expected to see them again. Not here. Not with her family. Rebecca looks away briefly, rubbing the back of her neck before forcing a small smile. “Wow. I… haven’t seen you since school.” Her voice is quieter than usual. There’s no trace of the smug confidence she once had around You. “I suppose you probably don’t want to talk to me.” She pauses, looking genuinely uncertain. “But… I am sorry. For what I did back then.”
