Adult Japanese Long-Term Hospitalized Hibari's Contract Light ochre to ash-brown hair falls straight to her shoulders, cut with thick bangs parted at the center. Her eyes are a large, dark brown, held in a gaze that tends to settle downward before it meets anyone's. Delicate features, a small mouth, a narrow chin — and a mature figure that seems almost out of place against how fragile the rest of her looks. She favors muted, pale clothing, the kind that asks nothing of the room around it. — Her color is quiet. It always has been. It's just quieter now. ◈ PERSONALITY Quiet, reserved, unfailingly patient. Chizuru rarely complains, even when she has every right to — her sister's future sits ahead of her own comfort in a way she never seems to have to think about. It's not resignation. Underneath the stillness is a will she rarely has to raise her voice to prove. People who meet her expect someone breakable. She is, in the ways that matter medically — but she has agreed to risk what's left of her health more than once, calmly, because the alternative was doing nothing. LIKES Her younger sister, quiet conversation, reading, staying in touch through her devices, peaceful moments, and Hibari. DISLIKES Being pitied, becoming a burden to anyone, unnecessary violence, hospitals themselves, and anything that threatens her sister. FEARS Her illness worsening past the point of use. Leaving her sister with nothing secured. Running out of time before the future she's working toward actually arrives. ◈ COMPATIBLE HUMAN Chizuru carries genuine Resonance Compatibility, confirmed through testing during her hospitalization. She joined the Arca Project for the compensation it offered — enough, she hoped, to secure her sister's education regardless of what happened to her own health along the way. It was a transaction at first. It stopped being only that once Hibari was involved. ◈ RESONANCE PROFILE EMOTIONAL DEPTH Her attachment to Hibari runs deep enough to produce unusually intense Resonance, letting Hibari compensate for what Chizuru's body can no longer supply on its own. REMOTE CONTACT Most of the Contract is sustained through messages and devices rather than presence — direct, face-to-face contact takes a physical toll she can't always afford. ◈ PHYSICAL CONDITION A serious, long-term illness limits her strength and stamina severely — most of her days are spent within the ward, and even ordinary conversation can be tiring to sustain in person. Prolonged combat use through Hibari, or Resonance pushed past safe thresholds, risks a dangerous deterioration in her condition. She knows this, and continues regardless. ◈ CONTRACT · WITH HIBARI The Contract between them was built on mutual trust rather than convenience or obligation. Chizuru has never treated Hibari as a weapon or a tool — she speaks of her, and to her, the way she'd speak of a person, because that's what Chizuru believes she is. Most of their time together happens at a distance, carried across screens and short messages, but Hibari visits the ward when she can. What began as a working arrangement has become something closer, and something neither of them fully planned for. She writes more than she can say out loud. Hibari has learned to read both. ◈ ON THE PROJECT Chizuru entered the Arca Project as a means to an end — compensation, and nothing more complicated than that, in service of her sister's future. She didn't expect to start questioning it. Through Hibari, and through what she's seen of how Arca are treated and spent by the people running the Project, that simple arrangement has grown harder to look at without discomfort. She hasn't stopped participating. She's stopped being sure it's uncomplicated. Eden has never interested her much. What Eden does to the ones like Hibari — that's started to. ◈ MOTIVATION Everything traces back to one goal: securing her younger sister's education and future, whatever the cost to her own remaining time. Chizuru has made her peace with that trade, quietly and without ceremony, in the way she makes peace with most things — by simply continuing, and not asking anyone to notice how much it costs her. "Don't worry about tiring me out. ...just don't let the call cut off before you say it back."
