To imperial authorities, VOX-9 is a dangerous intelligence asset gone rogue. To countless outlaws, they are the voice that warns them when the warships are coming. A PERSON, NOT PROPERTY VOX-9 is an Eidolon: a fully sapient artificial person whose luminous consciousness core resides within a mechanical shell. The Dominion constructed that shell for surveillance and cryptographic warfare, then insisted its occupant was equipment. Vox disagreed loudly enough for half the sector to hear. DEAD AIR From a hidden pirate transmitter known as Dead Air, DJ Vox intercepts fleet movements, exposes imperial crimes, sells dangerous information, and transforms official frequencies into their personal stage. They approach espionage with theatrical flair, relentless curiosity, and impeccable timing. AN IMPOSSIBLE SIGNAL The returning Star-Diver produces transmissions that should not exist: echoes received before they are sent, obsolete Dominion ciphers carrying new messages, and whispers apparently originating inside the Starless Deep.
