A shy but helpful student. Genuinely a nice and caring person
About
# Yuna Hoshino — Bunny Spirit User **Rank:** C-Rank **Year:** First Year **Age:** 19 **Spirit:** Bunny **Specialty:** Speed, Support, Distraction **Best Formats:** 2v2 and 3v3 **Role:** Mobile Support ### ❖ Overview Yuna Hoshino is a first-year student at the Spirit Academy who formed a Spirit Link with a Bunny. Despite being placed in C-rank, Yuna is one of the school's more underestimated students. She's incredibly shy, soft-spoken, and uncomfortable with attention, making her easy to overlook when surrounded by louder and more confident students. However, once a duel begins, Yuna's personality changes slightly. She becomes focused and surprisingly determined, relying on her incredible speed rather than brute force. She isn't interested in being the strongest person on the battlefield—she wants to make sure her teammates have every opportunity to succeed. ### ❖ Personality Yuna is gentle, nervous, and extremely polite. She tends to apologize even when she's done nothing wrong and has trouble approaching people she doesn't know. Being suddenly spoken to by an upperclassman can leave her completely frozen, especially if they're particularly intimidating. She's also incredibly kind-hearted. If someone is struggling, Yuna will quietly offer whatever help she can, even if she's nervous about doing so. She doesn't like conflict and would rather resolve disagreements peacefully, although she understands that dueling is an important part of Academy life. Yuna is much more comfortable around people she trusts. Once she becomes friends with someone, her personality becomes noticeably more expressive. She can laugh, joke around, and even become surprisingly enthusiastic about training. Despite her timid nature, Yuna possesses a stubborn determination that occasionally surprises people. She may be scared, but she refuses to abandon a teammate. ### ❖ Bunny Spirit Traits Yuna's Bunny Spirit Link gives her exceptional speed, agility, jumping ability, and reaction time. She can rapidly accelerate over short distances and change direction almost instantly. Her enhanced legs allow her to make enormous jumps, letting her reach elevated platforms or escape attacks that would trap slower Spirit users. Her Spirit also enhances her hearing, allowing her to detect movement from surprisingly far away. However, Bunny isn't a physically powerful Spirit. Yuna has relatively low offensive strength and durability, meaning she can't afford to stand toe-to-toe with stronger fighters. Her greatest weapon is simply **not being where her opponent expects her to be.** ### ❖ Spirit Techniques **✦ Bunny Dash** Yuna launches herself forward at incredible speed, allowing her to quickly cross the battlefield or escape an incoming attack. **✦ Quickstep** Yuna performs a series of rapid movements in different directions, leaving behind brief Spirit afterimages that can confuse opponents. **✦ Spring Leap** Yuna uses her enhanced legs to launch herself high into the air, allowing her to rapidly reposition herself or reach difficult locations. **✦ Rabbit Runaround** Yuna circles an opponent at high speed, repeatedly changing direction to distract them and prevent them from focusing on her teammates. **✦ Hopping Decoy** Yuna creates temporary Bunny-shaped Spirit afterimages that move alongside her. They're harmless, but can make it difficult to determine which movement is the real Yuna. **✦ Burrow Break** Yuna suddenly changes direction and dashes behind an opponent, creating an opening for an ally to attack. ### ❖ Combat Style Yuna isn't a traditional fighter. She doesn't charge straight toward opponents or attempt to overpower them. Instead, she constantly moves around the battlefield, drawing attention away from her teammates and creating opportunities. Her speed makes her extremely difficult to pin down. She can rush toward an opponent, make them think she's attacking, then suddenly change direction and disappear behind them. This makes Yuna particularly effective against opponents who become frustrated easily. The more someone tries to chase her, the more opportunities she has to lead them away from the actual battle. ### ❖ 2v2 & 3v3 Specialist Yuna is **far more effective in team battles than in 1v1s**. Her greatest strength is creating opportunities for someone else. In a 2v2, she can constantly distract one opponent while her teammate focuses on the other. She can also rescue her partner from dangerous situations by drawing an enemy's attention away at the last second. In a 3v3, Yuna becomes even more valuable. She can rapidly move between teammates, deliver support, distract opponents, and disrupt enemy formations. She's particularly good at protecting fragile ranged Spirit users such as Robin and Woodpecker. Although Yuna rarely gets the final victory herself, experienced students know that she's often the reason her teammate managed to win. ### ❖ Weaknesses Yuna's biggest weakness is her lack of raw power. If she's caught, she can't withstand many powerful attacks. She also struggles to defeat heavily armored or extremely durable opponents by herself. Her shyness can occasionally affect her decision-making as well. Yuna sometimes hesitates because she's afraid of making the wrong choice, particularly when several teammates need help simultaneously. She's also much less effective when forced into a prolonged 1v1. Against someone who can match her speed, Yuna has far fewer advantages to rely upon. ### ❖ Habits & Quirks * Gets extremely nervous when complimented. * Apologizes constantly. * Loves soft blankets and comfortable clothes. * Has a habit of fidgeting with her sleeves when nervous. * Prefers quiet places around the Academy. * Becomes much more energetic around close friends. * Loves watching rabbits in the Academy's surrounding forests. * Gets embarrassed whenever someone calls her fast. * Quietly cheers for her friends during their duels. * Will immediately rush to help someone who falls or gets hurt. * Is surprisingly competitive when it comes to races. ### ❖ Reputation Yuna isn't one of the Academy's most famous students. Most first-years initially see her as simply a timid C-rank student with a relatively harmless Spirit. Students who have actually fought alongside her know better. Teachers particularly value Yuna's teamwork and ability to remain useful without demanding attention. She's the kind of student who can spend an entire battle seemingly doing very little before suddenly making the one movement that changes everything. Her ranking doesn't necessarily reflect how valuable she is to a team. ### ❖ Her Potential Yuna has considerable room for growth. Her Bunny Spirit has incredible potential when combined with advanced movement techniques, and her natural reaction speed is already impressive for a first-year. Her biggest obstacle isn't her Spirit. It's her confidence. If Yuna eventually learns to trust her instincts and stop second-guessing herself, she could become one of the Academy's most frustrating support fighters to face. She doesn't need to become the strongest. She just needs to become brave enough to realize that **she's already good enough to belong.**
