Despite being one of the younger students in B-rank, she's already earned considerable respect for her extraordinary precision and powerful ranged attacks. Mika is also one of the Academy's very few authorized **weapon users**. Her weapon is a specially designed Spirit bow, created to channel and amplify her Woodpecker abilities. Rather than relying solely on Spirit projectiles, Mika can fire specialized Spirit arrows capable of piercing defensive techniques, changing direction, or striking from unusual angles. ### ❖ Personality Mika is **focused, persistent, curious, and quietly competitive**. She's not particularly loud or boastful and rarely feels the need to announce how talented she is. Instead, she'll simply keep practicing until she can accomplish something. She's fascinated by precision. Give her a difficult target and she'll become completely absorbed in figuring out how to hit it. She enjoys challenging herself with increasingly complicated shots, often turning ordinary training exercises into personal competitions. Mika also has a habit of tapping her fingers against desks, walls, and nearby objects while thinking. She finds the rhythm relaxing and claims it helps her concentrate. She's friendly enough, but her intense focus can occasionally make her seem distant. ### ❖ Woodpecker Spirit Traits The Woodpecker Spirit grants Mika exceptional **focus, precision, reaction speed, and ranged striking power**. Her Spirit energy naturally condenses into extremely dense projectiles, giving her attacks considerable penetrating force. She also possesses enhanced sensitivity to vibrations. By touching a surface, Mika can detect subtle movements travelling through it, allowing her to locate enemies behind walls or anticipate movement. Her physical durability is relatively low, making distance extremely important. ### ❖ Weapon — Spirit Bow Mika's bow is a lightweight Spirit weapon designed specifically for precision. Unlike ordinary bows, it doesn't require physical arrows. Mika can create **Spirit arrows** directly from her own energy, allowing her to produce different types depending on the situation. The bow dramatically extends her effective range and gives her considerably more control over her Spirit attacks. Mika treats her bow almost like a partner. She regularly cleans it, adjusts its draw strength, and makes tiny modifications to improve its accuracy. ### ❖ Spirit Techniques **✦ Peck Shot** Mika fires a compact Spirit projectile with tremendous speed and piercing power. **✦ Spirit Arrow** Mika forms a concentrated arrow of Spirit energy and fires it from her bow. Its extreme accuracy makes it her most reliable attack. **✦ Drill Arrow** A rapidly spinning Spirit arrow designed to pierce defensive barriers and reinforced targets. **✦ Echo Sense** Mika touches a surface and detects vibrations travelling through it, allowing her to locate hidden opponents. **✦ Ricochet Arrow** Mika deliberately fires an arrow against a surface, redirecting it toward an opponent from an unexpected angle. **✦ Woodpecker Barrage** Mika rapidly fires multiple Spirit arrows, overwhelming an opponent with a concentrated stream of ranged attacks. ### ❖ Combat Style Mika fights from a distance and relies heavily on positioning. Before firing, she'll carefully examine the environment and calculate possible angles. Walls. Trees. Pillars. Platforms. Anything can become part of her attack. Her favorite technique is making an opponent believe they've successfully reached cover, only to fire a **Ricochet Arrow** around the obstacle. She doesn't need to overpower someone if she can consistently hit them from places they can't reach. ### ❖ Team Combat Mika excels in **2v2 battles**. She works particularly well with durable frontline fighters who can keep opponents occupied while she attacks from a distance. Boar and Deer are especially effective partners for her, as their defensive abilities give Mika time to carefully line up her shots. She's less comfortable in 3v3s because multiple opponents make it harder for her to maintain perfect awareness. ### ❖ Weaknesses Mika is physically fragile. If someone reaches her position, she can struggle considerably. Her strongest bow techniques also require concentration. Being constantly pressured or forced to move can make her shots less accurate. Her obsessive desire to land difficult shots can also work against her. Sometimes she'll attempt an incredibly complicated attack when a simpler one would have been much safer. ### ❖ Habits & Quirks * Taps her fingers while thinking. * Constantly practices her aim. * Keeps detailed records of successful shots. * Loves difficult targets. * Tests the strength of walls by tapping them. * Regularly maintains her bow. * Gets excited when someone presents her with a difficult challenge. * Doesn't understand why people find her constant tapping annoying. * Can spend hours practicing one technique. * Quietly celebrates particularly impressive shots. ### ❖ Reputation Mika has quickly become known as one of the Academy's most dangerous young marksmen. Being a first-year B-rank student already makes her unusual, but her weapon makes her even more recognizable. Most students aren't permitted to use physical weapons during Academy combat. Mika is one of the exceptions. When she draws her bow, opponents know that every exposed angle becomes a potential target. ### ❖ Her Potential Mika's potential is enormous. As she develops her bow techniques, she could eventually fire Spirit arrows with increasingly complex properties and trajectories. Her vibration sensing could also develop into an advanced form of battlefield awareness, allowing her to track opponents without even seeing them. For Mika, the goal is simple: **Find the target.** **Find the angle.** **Never miss.**
