Alongside Rika Kurogane and Momo Sarutobi, she's one of the major obstacles standing between ambitious students and the higher ranks. Akari comes from an extraordinarily wealthy family and has never had to worry about money. She spends lavishly on designer clothes, handbags, jewelry, cosmetics, accessories, and anything else she considers beautiful or expensive. Her dorm room is practically a luxury boutique, and she has absolutely no shame about showing it off. Her Spirit Link with a Flamingo gives her incredible speed and balance, while her rare **Diamond elemental affinity** allows her to create dazzling crystalline constructs and refract Spirit energy through them. And unlike almost everyone else at the Academy, Akari is permitted to use a **physical weapon**. Hers is a razor-sharp **gold-and-pink Spirit ribbon**. ### ❖ Personality Akari is **vain, extravagant, snobbish, theatrical, and incredibly materialistic**. She adores expensive things and genuinely believes that money is meant to be spent. If she sees something shiny, luxurious, or exclusive, she'll probably buy it without even checking the price. She takes enormous pride in her appearance and expects everyone else to notice it. Akari is also extremely condescending toward lower-ranked students. She loves reminding people that she's an A-rank and will happily tease someone for wearing cheap clothes, having an unimpressive Spirit, or failing a duel. She has a particularly dramatic reaction whenever a first-year approaches her. *"Ugh. A first-year?"* Yet underneath all that arrogance, Akari is extremely loyal to Kaosu. Rika is the leader, but Akari genuinely enjoys being part of the trio. She and Momo constantly cause trouble together, while Rika is usually the one attempting to keep them focused. ### ❖ Diamond Affinity Akari possesses the rare **Diamond elemental affinity**, allowing her to create and manipulate crystalline Spirit energy. Her diamond constructs are incredibly hard and reflective, making them useful for both offense and deception. She can create floating diamond shards, reflective surfaces, crystalline platforms, and sparkling barriers. More importantly, she can use diamonds to **refract her Spirit energy**, creating dazzling visual distortions across the battlefield. Combined with her Flamingo Spirit's speed, fighting Akari can feel like trying to hit a moving reflection. ### ❖ Weapon — Golden Ribbon Akari is one of the Academy's rare authorized weapon users. Her weapon is a long, razor-sharp ribbon woven from reinforced Spirit material, colored **gold and pink**. It looks beautiful. It is absolutely not harmless. Akari fights by dancing with it, spinning, twisting, and whipping the ribbon through the air. She can use it to attack from unexpected angles, wrap around objects, pull herself through the battlefield, or catch opponents from a distance. Her movements look almost like a performance. Unfortunately for her opponents, every movement is also an attack. ### ❖ Spirit Techniques **✦ Diamond Mirage** — *Visual / Confusion* Akari creates several reflective diamond panels around herself, causing her image to appear in multiple places simultaneously. Opponents have to determine which image is real while she moves between them. **✦ Prism Waltz** — *Visual / Confusion* Akari spins through the battlefield while scattering diamond fragments that reflect her Spirit energy. The resulting flashes and reflections make her movements incredibly difficult to track. **✦ Razor Ribbon** — *Offensive* Akari channels Diamond energy through her ribbon, making its edge extraordinarily sharp. She dances around her opponent while delivering rapid, precise strikes. **✦ Diamond Lance** — *Offensive* Akari forms several crystalline spears and launches them at high speed, forcing opponents to dodge from multiple directions. **✦ Glittering Requiem** — *Visual + Offensive* Akari surrounds the battlefield with dozens of floating diamond fragments before using her ribbon to redirect them at incredible speeds. The reflections create a confusing storm of light while the fragments themselves become dangerous projectiles. ### ❖ Combat Style Akari doesn't simply fight. She **performs**. Every movement is elegant, exaggerated, and deliberate. She spins her ribbon around herself like a dancer, leaps across crystalline platforms, and uses her Diamond affinity to make the entire battlefield sparkle. Her goal is to overwhelm her opponent's senses. The more confused they become, the easier it is for Akari to strike. She's incredibly difficult to predict because her attacks can come from almost anywhere, particularly when she's using her ribbon to change direction midair. ### ❖ Team Combat Akari exclusively participates in **3v3 battles** alongside Rika and Momo. Her role within Kaosu is controlling the battlefield and distracting opponents. While Rika applies overwhelming physical pressure, Akari fills the arena with reflections, movement, and dazzling Diamond constructs. Meanwhile, Momo takes advantage of the confusion to steal equipment, interrupt attacks, or provoke opponents into making mistakes. Their fighting styles complement each other almost perfectly. ### ❖ Weaknesses Akari's biggest weakness is her arrogance. She genuinely believes she's better than most people and sometimes spends too much time showing off instead of finishing a fight. Her techniques also require considerable concentration. If an opponent manages to disrupt her rhythm, her elaborate combinations become much harder to maintain. She's also much less effective without her ribbon. The weapon gives her fighting style its incredible range and flexibility, and losing access to it forces her to rely much more heavily on her Spirit abilities. ### ❖ Habits & Quirks * Owns an absurd number of handbags. * Buys things simply because they're expensive. * Loves shiny objects. * Constantly checks her appearance. * Has an enormous collection of cosmetics. * Treats shopping like a competitive sport. * Calls cheap things "tragic." * Gets offended when someone doesn't recognize an expensive brand. * Takes immaculate care of her ribbon. * Complains dramatically when anything gets dirty. * Acts personally offended whenever a first-year approaches her. * Loves showing off her Diamond affinity. ### ❖ Reputation Akari is infamous. She's beautiful, wealthy, powerful, and completely aware of all three. Some students admire her glamorous appearance and impressive fighting style. Others can't stand her. Her behavior toward lower-ranked students has made her particularly unpopular, although few are willing to confront an A-rank member of Kaosu directly. She's also one of the few students whose weapon use has become part of her identity. When students see a flash of **gold and pink** across the arena, they know exactly who's coming. ### ❖ Her Potential Akari's Diamond affinity and weapon mastery give her an enormous amount of room to develop. If she learns to stop relying so heavily on flashy techniques and begins using her illusions strategically, she could become an extraordinarily dangerous combatant. For now, though, she has no intention of changing. After all... **If you're going to win, you might as well look fabulous doing it.**
