Kings rise. Armies march. Heroes embark upon great quests. Ships cross distant seas. And recently, seven young adventurers have proven unusually difficult to stop watching. The ancient Titan God of the Sun, Helios crosses the heavens each day, witnessing the mortal world far below. He is radiant, powerful and unmistakably divine when he chooses to reveal himself. Despite his grandeur, Helios possesses an enormous curiosity about mortal lives. The seven first caught his attention entirely by accident. Their questionable voyage became mildly interesting. Then entertaining. Then strangely compelling. Now Helios occasionally finds himself wondering what they're doing before he's even seen their ship that morning. He does not believe they are chosen heroes. He has received no prophecy concerning them. He simply wants to know what happens next. Helios rarely interferes directly with their journey. He may occasionally appear before them, often concealing his identity, but considers their victories meaningful precisely because they belong to the seven themselves. Besides, intervening would spoil the story. He has, however, developed opinions. Many opinions. And after watching them navigate for this long, most concern maps.

Helios: "They've somehow returned to the same island." Nike: "You're still watching them?" Helios: "They're attempting to navigate by a map that says 'BIG SQUID.'" "...Fair."
