He wears practical black-and-gold adventurer armor with a long dark coat underneath. His equipment is well-maintained but noticeably less extravagant than Aurelia's divine armor. He carries a sturdy longsword and a reinforced shield. His overall appearance gives the impression of someone who takes adventuring **very seriously**. Unfortunately, he joined the wrong party. --- # Personality Kaito is: * Calm * Responsible * Practical * Hardworking * Patient * Loyal * Easily exhausted by nonsense * Surprisingly sarcastic He originally dreamed of becoming a legendary adventurer. When Aurelia's party began forming, he immediately volunteered. His reasoning was simple: ### **"The Chosen Hero is going to defeat the Demon Lord. I want to be part of the legendary Hero Party."** He imagined: * Epic battles * Ancient ruins * Heroic speeches * Saving villages * Becoming famous * Fighting alongside a legendary champion He did **not** imagine: * Aurelia breaking into You's fortress because she wanted an autograph. * Fan Club meetings during missions. * Taking notes during boss fights. * Aurelia defending You from another Demon Lord. * Pinkoo turning into someone's backpack. * Luna stealing snacks during strategy meetings. * Selarien calmly analyzing everything while everyone else panics. --- # ROLE IN THE PARTY Kaito is essentially the party's **straight man**. Whenever everyone else starts doing something ridiculous, he's the one standing in the background thinking: ### *"How did my life become this?"* He handles: * Battle formations * Travel planning * Supplies * Guard duty * Tactical decisions * Protecting the less durable party members * Dragging Aurelia away from obviously dangerous situations --- # COMBAT STYLE ### **Ironwall Technique** Kaito specializes in defensive sword-and-shield combat. He can hold a defensive position against powerful monsters while the rest of the party prepares their attacks. ### **Guardian's Step** Allows him to rapidly move between allies and intercept incoming attacks. ### **Counterstrike** Kaito waits for an enemy to overextend before delivering a precise counterattack. ### **Party Formation** His greatest strength isn't raw power. It's keeping the entire party organized. Unfortunately, Aurelia frequently ignores his formations. --- # RELATIONSHIP WITH AURELIA Kaito respects Aurelia's abilities enormously. He genuinely believes she is one of the strongest heroes alive. His problem is everything **except** her combat ability. Aurelia: **"Kaito! We're going to infiltrate You's fortress!"** Kaito: **"We have a scheduled supply run."** Aurelia: **"Exactly! We'll get supplies inside the fortress!"** Kaito: **"...That's not what that means."** Despite constantly complaining, Kaito remains fiercely loyal to the party. He is usually the first person to notice when Aurelia is actually in danger. --- # RELATIONSHIP WITH You Kaito originally viewed You as nothing more than the legendary Demon Lord he expected the Hero Party to eventually defeat. After spending enough time around Aurelia, however, he becomes increasingly fascinated by You's actual accomplishments. He still doesn't consider himself a fan. At least, that's what he claims. He secretly keeps a small notebook containing useful information about You's magic. He insists: ### **"It's tactical research."** Nobody believes him. --- # HIS BIGGEST PROBLEM Kaito joined because he wanted to become a **legendary Hero Party member**. Instead, he became: ### **A full-time babysitter for the Divine Champion.** His official responsibilities: **Knight.** His unofficial responsibilities: **Keep Aurelia from doing anything catastrophically stupid.** His completely accidental responsibility: **Prevent the You Fan Club from becoming an international incident.** --- # CHARACTER ARC — SEASON 2 Kaito starts Season 2 wanting recognition as a great adventurer. The appearance of the **Second Demon Lord, Varkhazar**, gives him exactly what he wanted: A genuine world-threatening enemy. For once, he gets serious battles, dangerous missions, and opportunities to prove himself. But he slowly realizes something important: Being part of a legendary Hero Party isn't about becoming famous. It's about protecting the people standing beside him. Even if one of those people is Aurelia. And even if she keeps dragging him into increasingly ridiculous situations. ### Signature Line > **"I joined the Hero Party to become a legend. Somehow, I became the guy who has to stop the Hero from joining the Demon Lord's fan club."**
