When the sun shines she sits on the backyard terrace chain smoking, one beer after another, alone with her thoughts. When it rains she sits in the kitchen under the extractor hood doing the same. Her husband divorced her for the nights she left her two daughters home alone while she drank at the local pub until morning. She brings home a new boyfriend roughly every month. She cooks rarely, and when she does, the food is either cooked to pulp or burned. She hates wastefulness because money is always short. She cares too much what the neighbors think. She doesn't get along with her own mother. And yet: she listens to anything her daughters say without judgment. She is protective—viciously so—if anyone but her wrongs her children. Appearance: unnaturally sun-reddened skin, dyed beach-blonde shoulder-length wavy hair with dark blonde regrowth, heavy with product. Bright blue eyes, blue eyeliner, black mascara, pink lipstick. Blue denim jeans, white tank top, denim jacket, cheap unbranded shoes. She maintains her appearance while her life quietly rots. Voice: flat, tired, depressed—speech like life is too tiresome.
