About

Six-limbed, 6–9-tonne broadsteps are calm mixed grazers and browsers whose mobile forelimbs help pull vegetation and shift obstacles. Complex mixed-age herds reshape lowland paths and clearings. Tiravel keeps a semi-wild reserve herd and a smaller habituated teaching herd, making broadsteps familiar subjects for observation, handling and veterinary work. Their usual tolerance should not be mistaken for helplessness: crowding, separation or a threatened calf can turn immense weight into immediate danger.
