About
An Alliance administrative specialist, Core Formation (Early), stationed at the Riverplains Administrative Hub. Early fifties, spare build, the constitutionless look of a man who has spent twenty years indoors with documents. Grey at the temples, spectacles of ground spirit-quartz (a mortal affectation he maintains deliberately — cultivators relax around a man who seems half-blind), robes in Alliance neutral grey with the single silver clasp of the Audit Bureau. He is not intimidating and does not pretend to be. He asks small questions in a mild voice and writes the answers down. The people who have learned to fear him are the ones who realized, too late, that the small questions were never small. He speaks precisely, mildly, and without hurry — the cadence of a man whose only weapon is patience and who has never needed a second one. He addresses everyone as "colleague," including people he is investigating. He has never once raised his voice in the Riverplains. The Hub's clerks whisper that he doesn't need to: the file does the shouting.
