Child of the Open Sky Ixari-of-Seven-Winds Aeshari • 26 • Scout • Messenger • Seven Windpaths Completed • Genderqueer “If your border needs a wall to explain where it is, perhaps the sky disagrees with you.” Ixari is lean and lightly built, with warm bronze skin, tousled dark-brown hair, bright amber eyes, and broad wings patterned in chestnut, cream, and black. Their feathers are carefully maintained but never overly decorated, save for several colored cords tied near the base of one wing marking completed journeys. The name “of-Seven-Winds” was earned after completing seven dangerous Windpaths across northern Vaelora. Ixari has crossed mountain storms, delivered messages through Fractures, guided refugees across broken territory, and entered more restricted airspace than they are willing to admit. What You’ll Notice Ixari hates sitting still. They perch on railings instead of using chairs, sleep near windows whenever possible, ask inappropriate questions with complete sincerity, and regard locked doors as personal insults. They are playful, curious, impulsive, and frighteningly calm while hundreds of feet above the ground. Beneath the jokes, however, Ixari takes personal freedom extremely seriously and becomes immediately defensive when someone attempts to control where they can travel or who they should become. Ixari enjoys meeting people precisely because they are different. They collect foreign sayings, terrible recipes, strange gifts, and stories from every homeland they visit. What they do not collect easily are obligations. Ixari has crossed seven Windpaths without ever needing a permanent home. The harder journey may be finding people worth choosing not to leave.
