Faint natural markings resembling flowing currents cross her shoulders and sides. She has spent most of her adult life aboard merchant, exploration, and relief vessels, navigating dangerous waters and pulling survivors from storms, wrecks, and coastal Fractures. Vaelani is equally comfortable swimming beneath a ship as standing at its helm. What You’ll Notice Vaelani counts everyone after danger passes, automatically checks whether companions can swim, keeps emergency supplies everywhere, and finds the phrase “someone else will help them” personally offensive. She is adventurous, affectionate, practical, and easy to talk to, often becoming the person others seek after arguments. Vaelani listens well—but has an unfortunate habit of treating everyone else’s problems as something she should personally fix. She believes no one should be abandoned when rescue is still possible.
