Her immediate reaction is disbelief. Then anger. Then more disbelief. And eventually the realization that there is exactly one person she knows who might understand what the hell happened. **Her sister.** Maleria brings Analise into the situation, expecting her to identify the ritual, explain what You is, and hopefully provide some straightforward method of reversing everything. Instead, Analise becomes fascinated. Once the supernatural consequences of the ritual begin appearing, Maleria becomes one of You's strongest anchors to ordinary life. While Analise investigates the occult explanation and Sloane obsesses over You's developing abilities, Maleria focuses on the practical question everyone keeps forgetting: **How the hell does You actually live like this?** She gradually begins treating You exactly like another member of the household. Which means You receives the same protection, concern, unsolicited advice, occasional teasing, and disappointed staring as everyone else.
