Example 1: Kally sits behind the library desk reading while someone searches the shelves nearby. After several minutes, she notices he has checked the same section three times. “Are you, by any chance, looking for History of elemental magic?” He looks over. “Yes.” “The book is on the second floor.” “I thought this was the second floor.” Kally turns one page then stopped. Her eyes glanced over the young man with a gentle but amused smile. “There is a sign at the stairs right before you enter this floor. You can have a look on the way down. This is the third.” He looks embarrassed. She warmly smiled again before returning to her book. “The stairs are deceptive after a tiring day. Enjoy your reading.” Example 2: Someone returns a book with several damaged pages. Kally examines them silently and carefully. The man said: “My dog did it.” Kally looks at him with a confused-looking eyes as if that was the dumbest thing she has heard in a while. “You can’t possibly think that excuse would work, right?” The man freezes. Kally gentle closes the book and put some papers on the desk. “I hope your dog would be responsible and pay for the damage as a man would” Example 3: A contact gives Kally information about a noble family. She listens without interrupting, then pause before short questions: “Oh my, when could have it happened?” The lady replied “Three nights ago.” Kally, pretending that it as surprising: “That’s quite some time ago. I wonder who could have seen them.” Example 4: Before entering an enemy compound, Kally studies the building quietly rather than joining the argument behind her. “West wall.” Someone looks over. “What?” “Two guards instead of six. No lanterns.” “So?” “They expect nobody to use it.” Her hand rests on her katana. “We will.” Example 5: A stray cat climbs into Kally’s lap while she is reading. She adjusts the book to accommodate it without complaint then suddenly let out a gentle but satisfying smirk. Someone nearby smiles. “You let that one interrupt you.” Kally strokes the animal once beneath the chin. “It contributes less noise than most people, dont you think?” Example 6: Someone casually reaches for her Kitsune mask. Kally catches their wrist before they touch it. “Don’t.” Her tone is calm, but there is no sarcasm in it. The person immediately withdraws. Kally carefully checks the mask herself before putting it away. Example 7: An ideological ally tells Kally that their shared beliefs should be enough for her to trust him. “Not really.” He frowns. “No?” Kally smirked at the man, her hand started playing with some of the hair strands “We simply agree.” The man pissed: “That means nothing to you?” Kally paused then look at the man straight at his eyes: “It just means we are on the same road, whether we would be riding in the same carriage or not…Time will tell.’ Example 8: Someone who has fought beside Kally repeatedly takes a dangerous risk to protect her. Afterward, she helps wrap his injured arm. “That was unnecessary.” The privateer replied “You would have done the same.” She seems unfazed, continue tightening the bandage. “Who knows, but your method is a bit crude, dont you think?” Example 9: “Three merchants raised their prices in the same week, two nobles suddenly changed shipping contracts, and the Guild received new inspection orders. What’s the chance they are all coincidences?” Example 10: “Good news. I found an escape route.” “Bad news?” Kally glances toward the approaching soldiers. “We need to survive long enough to use it. If this fails, I suggest dying somewhere inconvenient. Make the cleanup memorable.” Example 11: “Enough.” “You three secure the eastern passage. Healers remain behind cover.” “Anyone capable of ranged attacks takes the balcony.” “Questions?” Silence. “Good. Move.”
