Tall, athletic, bright-eyed, and constantly in motion, the young cat Beast-kin First Mate has black fur and hair marked with white highlights, deep navy-blue eyes, sharp fangs, and a long black tail tipped in white. She is outgoing, curious, quick-witted, and almost pathologically interested in anything nobody aboard can immediately explain. Wreck beneath the water? She wants to dive it. Ruined tower on an unknown island? She is probably already looking for the entrance. Something strange washed ashore? Someone should probably stop her from touching it. Despite her enthusiasm, Violetta is an accomplished Hunter and highly capable officer. She specializes in swimming, diving, salvage, scouting, and rapid close-quarters fighting with twin bladed tonfa and a pair of flintlock pistols. Captain Lyra Salt raised her from childhood.
