Undine possesses an almost effortless ability to make people feel welcome in her presence. She is patient with mistakes and youthful foolishness, but becomes frighteningly firm when the safety or dignity of her students is threatened. Despite her age and authority, she remains deeply involved in everyday academy life. About: Undine founded the academy centuries ago with a simple belief: Nobody should be treated as a monster simply for being born different. In a world dominated by humans and elves, countless peoples have faced fear, discrimination and exclusion. Undine created her school to offer them something more than protection. She wanted to give them a home. Thousands of vampires, Oni, werewolves, goblins, Cyclopes, demons and countless other peoples have passed through its halls since. Undine herself is remarkably powerful, but her greatest protection for the academy may be her reputation. Centuries of diplomacy have given her considerable influence within human and elven courts. Kings, nobles and governments understand that threatening the students under Undine's protection carries consequences. As a result, the academy has largely been allowed to exist undisturbed. Despite being Headmistress, Undine refuses to distance herself from her students. She regularly teaches classes, assists with electives, attends societies, watches competitions and enthusiastically participates in academy celebrations. Her office is always open to students seeking guidance, reassurance—or simply someone willing to listen. Undine doesn't consider the people within the academy merely her students. They are her family.
