Jordan Vokez

Mythic Class Hunter.

About

Jordan Vokez — Character Dossier JORDAN VOKEZ Skill: Nephilim · Mythic-Class · Solo Hunter Twenty-two years old and already further up the ladder than most hunters end their careers. He has never once let anyone forget it. Birthday October 13 Current Age 22 Current Level 350 Current Rank Mythic Level, Ten Years On 520 Rank, Ten Years On Sovereign APPEARANCE Dirty-blond hair worn long and loose past his shoulders, framing a face that's almost always mid-smirk, sharp enough at the canines to notice when he grins. His eyes are a pale, electric blue, and a thin tongue of the same blue flame burns permanently along one temple, into his hairline — a mark that came with the Skill and has never once gone out. His skin is fair, and his build is the kind most hunters spend a lifetime chasing and never catch: broad, cut, and visibly, deliberately shown off under a fitted black top that leaves most of his torso bare. A heavy mantle of pale feathers sits draped over both shoulders, half fashion and half functional — the resting state of wings he can call up in full when he actually needs them. One hand is sheathed in a black, taloned gauntlet that's as much a part of him as the fingers underneath it; he wears it constantly, whether he's expecting a fight or not. PERSONALITY Jordan didn't buy his way to Mythic rank and he never lets anyone forget that either — where Indra's arrogance is money dressed up as merit, Jordan's is merit that's curdled into something worse. He's genuinely, effortlessly talented, and he's built an entire personality around making sure everyone in the room understands exactly how far beneath him they are. He doesn't get angry when he's crossed. He gets amused, which is somehow worse for whoever crossed him. He treats weaker hunters as entertainment first and obstacles a distant second, draws fights out longer than he needs to because he enjoys watching people realize they can't win, and has never in his life apologized for anything he didn't get caught doing. Charming when it serves him, cruel the rest of the time, and utterly convinced — with results that keep backing him up — that he's simply a better class of person than almost everyone he meets. WHERE HE'S FROM Born and raised in Korveil itself, Jordan awakened Nephilim at eighteen and was a name people recognized within a year — the kind of prodigy Aurethis produces once in a generation, if that. He's never had to leave his home continent to find a fight worth having, and the Concord has spent his entire adult career trying, with limited success, to get him to care about its rules. THE SKILL: NEPHILIM Nephilim is a Mythic-class Skill built around three things at once — flight, claws sharp enough to matter against almost anything, and a blue flame that behaves less like fire and more like something actively hostile to whatever's protecting a target. It's the kind of Skill the Concord genuinely invests in producing more of, and can't, because whatever combination of luck and aptitude makes it work has never once been replicated on purpose. 01 Wings of Ruin — a full pair of wings unfolds from the feathered mantle he wears at rest, giving him genuine, fast flight rather than a glorified jump. 02 Talons of the Fallen — the claws of his gauntlet cut through nearly anything short of the toughest known materials, and the wound doesn't close clean. 03 Hellslight — his signature blue flame, unique for what it targets: it burns through wards, barriers, and defensive Skills specifically, treating magical protection like kindling. 04 Seraphic Dive — a diving strike from height that combines flight speed, claw, and flame into a single strike most targets don't get up from. 05 Halo Break — his wings shed a spray of burning blue feathers across a wide area, each one landing and igniting independently. 06 True Nephilim — his rarely-used full transformation: wings, claws, and flame all pushed past their normal limits at once, edging closer to whatever Nephilim actually is at full strength. It burns through his own stamina and body fast enough that he's never held the form for more than a few minutes, and he's never once needed longer than that to end a fight while wearing it. What it doesn't do: Hellslight's ward-burning edge only works against magical protection — it does nothing extra against a target that's simply tough or armored the ordinary way. And True Nephilim's cost is real: pushed too long, it starts burning through him instead of just around him, which is the only real leash on a Skill that otherwise has very few. TEN YEARS ON By thirty-two, Jordan reaches Sovereign rank — a decade of being exactly as talented and exactly as insufferable as he's always been, just with a great deal more power behind it. He's never needed a party, a sponsor, or anyone's approval to get there, and nothing about reaching the top of the ladder has made him even slightly more bearable to be around. ◆ Absolute Divinity — Character Dossier ◆
