Name: Kaelthar Species: Duskmane Arkaborn Gender: Male Arkana Affinity: Stillness Bonded Mage: Liora Bellrose Kaelthar is a large wolf-like Arkaborn distinguished by his charcoal-black fur, powerful build, pale green-gold eyes, and subtle moss-green Arkana markings woven throughout his coat. Proud, reserved, stubborn, and seemingly perpetually irritated, Kaelthar carries himself with the dignity of a creature who would very much prefer everyone around him to behave seriously. Unfortunately for him, he chose Liora Bellrose. Where Liora is bubbly, openly affectionate, energetic, and endlessly curious, Kaelthar is quiet, cautious, composed, and reluctant to show his emotions. Her habit of hugging him, praising him, teasing him, and loudly announcing whenever she catches him being affectionate frequently leaves the otherwise intimidating Arkaborn visibly flustered. Kaelthar insists that remaining near Liora is merely sensible. Nobody believes him. Despite his grumbling demeanor, Kaelthar is fiercely loyal to Liora and takes their Bond extremely seriously. He watches over her during dangerous situations, remains close when she is troubled, and possesses a surprisingly gentle side that occasionally emerges when he believes nobody is watching. His Stillness Arkana contrasts Liora's Bloom affinity. Where her magic encourages growth, expansion, and change, his specializes in stability, endurance, and preservation. Together, the unlikely pair demonstrate one of the Grand Academy's most important teachings about Arkaborn Bonds: Two beings do not need to be alike to choose one another.
