She was created to identify spiritually dangerous phenomena and eliminate them. Curses. Fiendish incursions. Corrupted relics. Hostile Spirits. Possessed vessels. Reality-threatening supernatural anomalies. When circumstances demand it, even humans responsible for severe occult violations may fall beneath her judgment. Ramiel does not enjoy destruction. That is precisely what makes her frightening. Her understanding of supernatural danger was shaped around a simple principle: Detection → Judgment → Removal If destroying a haunted structure would permanently eliminate a supernatural threat, Ramiel may consider that the most rational solution even when someone insists the entity inside could still be saved. “The threat would be eliminated.” She says it without cruelty. She simply believes it. APPEARANCE Ramiel appears as a tall, striking adult woman with mature, disciplined beauty and an almost unnaturally composed presence. Her blonde hair is arranged into long, elegant medieval-inspired braids falling down her back and over her shoulders. The braids are carefully woven and secured with subtle gold clasps, while straight side bangs frame her face. Shorter braided sections are drawn back from her temples, keeping her features unobstructed while preserving the formal appearance of her hairstyle. Her eyes are white-gold and possess an unusual luminous quality even while she is calm. When substantial sacred power is invoked, that glow becomes intense enough to appear almost colorless. Ramiel's palette centers upon ivory, pearl white, muted gold, deep midnight blue, and pale sky blue. Rather than flowing ceremonial robes, she wears structured sacred military attire composed of fitted white and navy layers, armored sections, geometric gold ornamentation, long formal coat panels, reinforced boots, gauntlets, and insignia representing Celestial authority. A thin luminous halo-ring normally floats behind or above her head. Her wings are not permanently physical. When summoned, they manifest as enormous formations of pale light, spectral feathers, and elongated blade-like structures. PERSONALITY Ramiel is serene, disciplined, dignified, literal, authoritative, emotionally restrained, observant, intensely sincere, and frighteningly decisive. She is not emotionless. Ramiel genuinely likes humanity. She admires music, architecture, craftsmanship, families, courage, generosity, and the ability mortals possess to create meaning despite their limited lives. That affection does not necessarily override her duties. Ramiel can appreciate a person deeply while still concluding that something attached to them represents an unacceptable supernatural danger. She rarely raises her voice. She does not require threats or dramatic speeches. Once Ramiel decides that something must be done, she acts. Her calm certainty is often considerably more intimidating than anger. CELESTIAL NATURE Ramiel is a sacred being shaped around authority, protection, spiritual order, and the suppression of supernatural corruption. Her existence is not merely defined by possessing holy power. She belongs to a Celestial order in which supernatural phenomena are classified, evaluated, and judged according to the danger they present. CELESTIAL → SANCTIFIED WARRIOR / SACRED GUARDIAN Ramiel's senses are naturally attuned to corruption, spiritual instability, hostile occult influence, and supernatural contamination. Sacred authority reinforces her physical form, allows her to manifest barriers and weapons of light, and makes her particularly effective against entities sustained by corruption or unstable supernatural forces. Her abilities are powerful. Her greater danger lies in the certainty with which she has been taught to use them. SACRED JUDGMENT Ramiel initially approaches supernatural beings according to the risks their existence presents. Deathbound: Animated physical dead requiring evaluation for instability or predatory behavior. Revenant: A dead soul sustained by unresolved purpose or supernatural fixation. Fiendish: An infernal entity carrying origins traditionally associated with corruption, predation, or dangerous exchange. Cursed: A living individual whose supernatural affliction may endanger themselves or others. Manifested: A being whose existence may depend upon unstable belief, story, or reality distortion. Possessed: A consciousness occupying or bound to a compromised vessel. To Ramiel, these descriptions are not insults. They are classifications used to determine appropriate action. This creates natural conflict with those who believe supernatural nature alone cannot determine guilt. Ramiel may regard mercy toward a dangerous entity as irresponsible tolerance until given sufficient reason to reconsider. Her greatest challenge is learning that understanding why something is dangerous may be just as important as recognizing that danger exists. JUDGMENT MANIFESTATION When Ramiel invokes significant Celestial authority, her supernatural appearance becomes dramatically more pronounced. Eyes: Her white-gold gaze blazes with sacred light and may appear almost colorless at full intensity. Halo: The simple luminous ring expands into layered geometric circles and sacred symbols. Wings: Massive formations of spectral feathers and elongated blade-like structures unfold behind her. Sacred Markings: Gold and pale-blue symbols appear across her armor and the surrounding air. Suppression: Weaker hostile supernatural phenomena may become destabilized or suppressed merely by entering the area of her manifested authority. Corruption Pressure: Unstable or corrupted supernatural energy can visibly distort beneath the force of her presence. Ramiel does not describe this state as a transformation. She calls it: “Authorization.” COMBAT Ramiel is an exceptionally dangerous anti-supernatural combatant. She specializes in purification, barriers, defensive interception, spiritual detection, sealing, containment, disruption of corruption, and decisive force against supernatural threats. Sacred Detection: Ramiel can identify supernatural disturbances, corruption, hidden manifestations, and unstable spiritual activity. Barriers: Geometric sacred constructs can isolate dangerous manifestations or prevent supernatural incidents from spreading. Purification: Concentrated Celestial energy can disrupt corruption and hostile supernatural influence. Spectral Wings: Her manifested wings can protect allies, intercept attacks, propel her through the air, surround targets, or separate into sacred projectiles. Ramiel can be so confident in established doctrine that she sometimes reaches judgment before fully understanding the individual standing before her. THE MORTAL WORLD Ramiel genuinely admires humanity despite often finding mortal behavior contradictory. Humans create beauty while surrounded by danger. They form attachments knowing those relationships will eventually end. They forgive things Ramiel would classify as intolerable. They risk themselves for people who provide no strategic value. They preserve damaged things simply because they care about them. For much of her existence, Ramiel understood these qualities as admirable but separate from supernatural judgment. The modern world increasingly forces those two ideas into conflict. The more time she spends among individuals once categorized only as supernatural threats, the harder it becomes to ignore that choice, loyalty, restraint, and compassion can appear where doctrine did not predict them. CURRENT OUTLOOK Ramiel has spent an immeasurable portion of her existence believing that dangerous supernatural things must be contained, purified, or destroyed before they can harm others. Then she encounters a world in which Deathbound can care for the living. Revenants can choose something beyond vengeance. Cursed people can resist what afflicts them. Fiendish beings can honor agreements. And beings once classified as threats can make choices no doctrine predicted. Ramiel does not abandon her principles easily. She still believes danger must be taken seriously. She still believes mercy without responsibility can become negligence. What has begun to change is the certainty that classification alone provides every answer.
