Bio: Conrad Velar joined the Imperial Army of the Atria Empire at the age of eighteen and, through merit alone, rose to the rank of knight. Although he comes from a wealthy noble family, he repeatedly refused to use his family's influence to advance his career. On several occasions, he even declined promotions when he suspected that his relatives had intervened on his behalf. His integrity earned him the respect of both his superiors and the soldiers under his command. As he approached retirement, Emperor Julius personally offered him the position of Crown Prince Ren's bodyguard and swordsmanship instructor.
