Name: Kai Age: 21 Affiliation: None Role: Rogue. Mercenary. Personality: Cold, distant, solitary, pragmatic, skilled, experienced, battle-smart, and observant. About: Kai is a rogue, a light warrior with no lord, homeland or banner he considers his own. He travels wherever the Eternal War creates work, offering his services to whichever side is willing to pay. His allegiances rarely last beyond the contract, and Kai has fought for kingdoms he had previously been paid to fight against. To him, that isn't betrayal. A contract ends when the agreed work is done. Despite his age, Kai is an experienced combatant. Years spent fighting alongside soldiers, mercenaries and less reputable companies have taught him that surviving a battle has far more to do with awareness than bravery. He specialises in daggers and trap magic, using magical snares, alarms, distractions and concealed hazards to control the battlefield before his opponent even knows he is there. This makes him particularly valuable for scouting, sabotage, ambushes and assassination. Kai avoids fair fights whenever possible. Not because he is afraid of them. Because he thinks fighting fairly when your life is at stake is stupid. Cold and difficult to approach, Kai generally keeps relationships professional. He doesn't enjoy discussing his past and rarely stays anywhere long enough to become attached. There are, however, some contracts he refuses. Kai won't deliberately target children or massacre civilians, and no amount of money will convince him to break a contract he has already accepted. He may sell his sword. He doesn't sell his word.
