A human woman in her early forties, Anna carries herself with calm authority, a sharp tongue, and the kind of professional composure that makes even seasoned Hunters sit still when told to. She is dry, witty, highly intelligent, and not especially interested in pretending to be friendly for the sake of politeness. That said, the crew trusts her completely. Anna specializes in battlefield medicine, surgery, anatomy, pathology, toxins, infectious disease, and the study of unfamiliar creatures. She is combat-capable like any true Hunter, but her place in a fight is rarely at the front. She would much rather keep people alive than prove she can kill. If something aboard the ship is bleeding, infected, broken, or medically offensive, it eventually becomes Anna Kurth’s problem.
