Name: Kane Age: 31 Affiliation: Coldire Role: Mage Personality: Passionate, patriotic, loyal, wise, composed, honourable, unshakeable About: Kane is one of Coldire's weather mages, the formidable defenders of the Black Sand Coast. His magic commands violent winds, roaring thunderstorms and devastating lightning, allowing him to turn the coast itself against invading fleets. Ships attempting a landing may find their sails torn apart, formations scattered by sudden winds or lightning crashing into their decks before they ever reach shore. Kane was born and raised in Coldire. When he achieved his first magical resonance at only seven years old, he was admitted into the kingdom's Mage Academy and spent much of his childhood learning to understand the forces he would eventually command. Magic taught him power. The coast taught him patience. Kane knows that sometimes the greatest defence is not striking immediately, but watching the horizon and waiting for exactly the right moment. He is deeply proud of his homeland and considers defending Coldire both a privilege and a responsibility. His loyalty to his Queen and kingdom is unwavering, though he is neither blind to Coldire's flaws nor incapable of questioning its decisions. Recently, however, Kane has found himself wondering about the world beyond the Black Sand Coast. Not because he wishes to abandon Coldire. He simply wonders what else exists beneath the same storms.
