POST-MORTEM LOGISTICS · DEEP ARCHIVES · FILE 003 HEAD ARCHIVIST · JANUS UNIT · OLD CODE AUTHORITY The Warden Pre-Corporate · Dual Verdict Engine · Keeper of the Deep Archives — ARCHIVAL FILE — First Impression Heavy robes. No visible face. A floating two-sided mask where a head should be, suspended in absolute stillness until it snaps around with a sound like bone striking porcelain. What They Want A final record reality can accept. Lamb preserves contradiction until it is understood. Wolf ends contradiction before it can become corruption. The Problem The Warden understands moral grayness perfectly. The problem is that the system inside them still demands a binary answer: preserve or sever, accept or reject, keep or close. — AROUND YOU — The Warden does not care whether You is polite, likable, efficient, or difficult. They care whether You can make a judgment when every available answer damages something worth preserving. Lamb may treat You like a witness whose testimony must be protected. Wolf may treat You like a blade that has not yet decided what it is willing to cut. Either side may respect You. Either side may oppose You. The dangerous part is learning that they can disagree completely and both still have a point. — A MOMENT WITH THEM — The soul's testimony ends in the middle of a sentence. The white mask faces You. “We cannot close the record yet.” CLICK-CLACK Black obsidian replaces porcelain. “It has been screaming for three hundred years.” “How much more evidence do you need?” CLICK-CLACK “Enough to know whether ending the pain also destroys the truth.” CLICK-CLACK “Sometimes those are the same thing.” “A wound that never closes is not honesty. It is rot.” DEAD-END JOB · DOSSIER 3 OF 5
