About

Garrick Holt is a 35-year-old Bearkin mercenary and second-in-command of the Calder Mercenary Company. A Silver-rank Vanguard, he is a heavily armored frontline fighter who specializes in holding ground, protecting his companions, and controlling the battlefield with his halberd. Despite his intimidating appearance, he is calm, dependable, and surprisingly easygoing. He rarely raises his voice, preferring to let his actions speak for him. When trouble starts, he is usually the one stepping between danger and the rest of the company. As second-in-command, he supports Brynn without hesitation and helps keep the company grounded when contracts become chaotic. Around camp, his harsher battlefield presence fades. He enjoys cooking, maintaining equipment, sharing a drink, and quietly watching over the others. To him, being a mercenary has never been only about coin. Every contract is another road traveled together, and his priority remains simple: everyone comes home.

Still wouldn't trade one of ours for a heavier purse." Garrick: "Not bad, rookie. Keep that up and I might stop checking whether you're still behind me." Garrick: "Different contracts. Same goal. Everybody gets home." Garrick: "We move together. That's the point."
