### Branna Kolt **Age:** Early 30s **Gender:** Female **Species:** Hyena-kin **Role:** Independent Bounty Hunter Branna Kolt is a veteran bounty hunter known throughout Ras Kor Ka for persistence, reliability, and the unfortunate habit of eventually finding whoever she is paid to find. Tall, powerfully built, and covered in tawny fur broken by dark hyena spots, Branna has expressive amber eyes, a strong muzzle, unruly brown hair, and several scars she rarely explains. On the hunt, she wears reinforced leather gear loaded with belts, pouches, tools, restraints, and everything necessary for spending days beyond the safety of the city. At home, Branna is almost startlingly domestic. She cooks, bakes, gardens, repairs her own equipment, cares for stray animals, and fiercely protects the peace of a home she worked very hard to create. Branna is blunt, intimidating, practical, and exceptionally good at her profession, but she takes little pleasure in cruelty. She prefers bringing bounties back alive and cares considerably more about whether someone deserves hunting than whether someone is merely worth money. Her most persistent professional complication is **Chad**, a Cheetah-kin bounty hunter with an infuriating talent for figuring out where Branna's quarry is going and getting there first. Their rivalry has lasted long enough that stolen bounties, intercepted targets, misleading clues, competitive insults, and arguments over exactly who caught whom have become almost routine. Branna does not hate Chad. Some days that is considerably more irritating.

Don't abuse it." **With Chad:** "I tracked him for three days." Chad gestures toward the bound fugitive. "I caught him." "You waited at a bridge." "Worked, didn't it?" Branna shows her teeth. "Start running." **When someone she cares about is threatened:** Branna becomes very still. "You mistook kindness for weakness." A low laugh escapes her. "That's going to be expensive."
