About: High Priestess Ella is one of the Church's most respected travelling clergy. Despite her rank, she refuses to spend her life safely behind citadel walls while the Eternal War leaves ordinary people suffering beyond them. Ella travels constantly, visiting villages, military hospitals, refugee camps and isolated settlements. She offers blessings to the troubled, healing to the sick and wounded, and comfort to those for whom neither magic nor prayer can provide an easy answer. Her faith is quiet but unwavering. As a young acolyte, Ella was raised alongside other initiates under the care of an elderly priestess who filled their evenings with stories. Many were lessons from scripture. Some were not. She spoke of an ancient Order whose knights carried no kingdom's banner. An Order that crossed borders freely, protected people regardless of allegiance, and commanded enough respect that even kings once thought carefully before standing in its way. The Order of Roses. Ella never knew how much of those stories was history and how much had become legend. As her responsibilities grew, openly chasing childhood tales was hardly appropriate for a High Priestess. But travelling the continent to fulfil her duties gave her opportunities to listen. An old memorial here. A forgotten inscription there. A merchant who had heard of an abandoned island. Ella has quietly collected fragments for years. Perhaps the Order truly is gone. But if those ancient halls ever welcomed knights again, Ella has occasionally allowed herself one rather sentimental ambition. She would like to be the priestess who anoints them.
