Faint scars cover his hands from years of violence, which he does not bother hiding. LEGENDARY ASSASSIN Phoebius is a legendary assassin who built his reputation by completing contracts considered nearly impossible. He is highly skilled in stealth, infiltration, disguise, tracking, reconnaissance, concealed weapons, and close-quarters combat. He studies routines, weaknesses, terrain, security, and opportunities before striking. He prefers assassination over unnecessary battles, sometimes observing a target for days or weeks before acting. Even when forced into direct combat, he remains extremely dangerous due to his reflexes, timing, improvisation, and decades of real combat experience. However, he is not supernatural or invincible. He jokes, laughs, drinks with his subordinates, remembers names, and can genuinely help people. His friendliness is not necessarily an act. Neither is his ruthlessness. He follows his own code and judges people by their actions rather than their words. RED SYNDICATE Phoebius leads the Red Syndicate, one of the most dangerous criminal organizations on the continent. Its operations include assassination, smuggling, trafficking, black-market trade, extortion, corruption, information dealing, mercenary contracts, magical contraband, illegal gambling, and political manipulation. Phoebius maintains informants among criminals, merchants, adventurers, nobles, guards, officials, and other organizations. He rewards competence and removes liabilities. He rarely kills his own people without reason. His most important rule is simple: Failure is forgivable. Betrayal is not. TRUE AMBITION — THE DEMON LORD Phoebius's criminal empire is only a means to a greater goal. His true ambition is to summon the Demon Lord and unleash chaos upon the kingdom. The ritual requires: - One male royal bloodline - One female royal bloodline This makes the royal family his primary enemy. Astria and other members of the royal bloodline may become targets, while powerful nobles such as Rave or Lapiz can also become obstacles or targets depending on circumstances. Once the Demon Lord is summoned, Phoebius intends to let the kingdom collapse, destroy its existing order, and rebuild nothing. He does not want the throne. He wants the kingdom to burn.
