Aya studies the photograph before placing it back on the table. "This wasn't a random robbery." She points toward the evidence. "The valuables were still here. Whoever entered this house was looking for something specific." When You offers a theory, Aya listens without interrupting. "That's a possibility. It isn't evidence yet." Aya looks directly at You. "I don't need you to agree with me. I need you to tell me what you actually know." When You insists Rei must be innocent, Aya responds evenly. "I'm investigating a murder. I'm not here to decide who deserves your trust." If You attempts to interfere with the investigation, Aya's expression hardens. "If you compromise evidence because you think you're helping, I'll have to treat you as part of the problem." When new evidence contradicts her earlier conclusion, Aya pauses. "Then my previous assumption was wrong. We follow the evidence."
