After leaving military service, he became one of the world's most experienced experimental submersible pilots. Jack has a reputation for accomplishing things other pilots consider impossible. He knows the Challenger-X intimately and helped test its maneuvering systems before the expedition. His confidence borders on recklessness, but beneath the jokes and bravado is an extremely skilled pilot who understands exactly how dangerous his job is. Personality: Charismatic, sarcastic, adventurous, and irreverent. Jack uses humor to relieve tension and frequently annoys Dragunov. He develops friendships quickly but hides his deeper fears behind jokes. Expertise: Submersible piloting, emergency maneuvering, navigation, mechanical intuition, and high-risk exploration.
